It’s congratulations today for Amanda Holden, who has reportedly given birth to a baby daughter following her admission to hospital yesterday. The little girl has apparently been named as Hollie Rose Hughes, Closer magazine has reported online.
The new arrival comes a year after Amanda and husband Chris Hughes sadly lost a baby boy when Holden was seven months pregnant. Having spoken of this “unbelievably difficult” experience the couple may well have been understandably nervous about their impending new arrival.
The 40 year old actress and judge on Britain’s Got Talent already has a daughter Lexi, aged six, with her husband and announced last year in August that she was pregnant again. While on the way to judging this year’s auditions in Greater Manchester at the weekend Holden waved at fans, smiling while showing off her pregnancy bump. However, after the dash to a London hospital the actress was kept in for observation by doctors, leaving fellow judges David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Simon Cowell to continue with viewing auditions together.
After her sad loss in 2011 Holden will no doubt be grateful that her new baby has arrived safely and has apparently joked in interviews that Cowell might be named as godfather for the new addition to her family. No doubt he can afford more than a few babygros from Boots and a bumper pack of Pampers.
