Cheryl Cole is leaving the disappointment and humiliation of the USA X Factor behind as it has been confirmed that she has scored a role in a new Hollywood blockbuster.
Cheryl is set to star in the eagerly anticipated, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, which is based on a famous pregnancy guide-book of the same name and has been on the top of the New York Times bestseller list for over 500 weeks.
The plot will centre around four couples as they prepare to become parents for the first time. The character’s lives will intertwine; much like in the style of Love Actually and Valentines Day. The film is also set to star Cameron Diaz, J-Lo, Matthew Morrison, Chace Crawford and Charlize Theron.
This doesn’t mean that Cheryl will dabble in acting in any serious capacity however, as a source close to Cheryl revealed: “This is a bit of fun for Cheryl. She will film the scenes imminently and is really looking forward to it. It doesn’t mean she suddenly wants to become actress.”
Cheryl will make her appearance as a T.V talent judge, so not much of a stretch, who auditions Cameron Diaz’s character in the movie.
What to Expect When You’re Expecting is due for a release in May 2012.
In other Cheryl news, the X Factor rumor mill is at work again as it has been suggested that Simon Cowell is planning to re-instate Cheryl back on UK screens, replacing Tulisa Contostavlos as a judge. Simon is reportedly not that happy with the new judging line-up and is worried that this could lead to a huge dip in the ratings. He thinks that managing to get Cheryl back for the live-rounds will create a huge coup for the show, and the press coverage alone will help with the ratings.
Will the drama ever end?
