Twitter has been whipped up into a frenzy tonight after HMV appeared to allow fans to pre-order Amelia Lily’s winning single!
But what, I hear you say, the X Factor final is not for another four days so unless they have a time machine how on earth can HMV be predicting a winner already? What ensued were three separate entries onto Twitter trending topics: top of the list being #fixfactor.
Sadly, this is not the first time this series that the X Factor has been accused of being fixed. Prior to Amelia Lily’s re-entry in to the competition a report was published online congratulating her on her comeback. Once again either another clever use of time travel or Amelia has been Cowell’s firm favorite all along.
I am, like many, an avid fan of X Factor and so would be disappointed to find out that Simon decided weeks ago who would win (also because I am quite a big fan of Little Mix)!
HMV have since issued an apology for their ‘simple mistake’, claiming that ‘all three finalists details will go up simultaneously tomorrow morning. Once up, fans will be able to pre-order the single by their preferred finalist but only orders for the eventual winner’s single will be processed and charged for. This was due to an unforeseen technical issue, and nothing further should be construed from it.’
Unfortunately for Amelia Lily this will probably not help her receive any votes from the public ahead of this weekend’s final…maybe her best hope of winning is that X Factor has been a fix all along!
