Former So Solid Crew member MC Harvey has claimed in an interview with Now magazine that he and Cheryl Cole ‘shared a special bond’ months after her split from Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole.
Harvey, real name Michael Harvey Jnr, hit out at the Girls Aloud star on Twitter, insisting he had emails to support his claim.
He said: “Do you actually want me to tweet some of the messages you emailed me? Pipe down and stop playing the saint in front of your fans. If the public seen these emails, you’d end up with egg on your face.”
But the 28-year-old Geordie strongly denied his claims on Twitter – and tweeted; “Was this ‘relationship’ in your head? Are you smoking something?” I think I met you once, maybe twice, at public events, with your wife.”
Cole is said to be threatening legal action with Now magazine, who in turn deny any defamation on the cover story.
A statement published on their website said; ‘We completely and wholeheartedly stand by our exclusive and refute any accusation that it contains untruths.
‘Michael Harvey himself released a statement earlier this week standing by what he revealed in his interview in Now magazine.
‘The article is not defamatory and was published in good faith – we will strongly defend it.’
The plot thickens.
