Kelly Rowland Pulls Out Of This Week’s X Factor, But Who Will Replace Her?

Alexandra Burke……….None other than home grown Alexandra Burke!

But why is Kelly being replaced? And what the heck is going on in the X Factor? It’s usually the acts that grab the attention of the press but not this year, this year it’s all about the judges!

This season of the X Factor revealed all new judges, Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland & Tulisa Contostavlos, it was quite strange watching the new judges and having an absent Simon who we have loved on the show for the past couple of years, but after the first couple of shows the nation seemed to warm to the new judges. Kelly bringing a taste of the fun all American girl, Gary with his straight opinions, Tulisa with her passion for music & Louis, well just being Louis!

A fresh faced judging panel, it all started so well, but now it seems everything has gone down hill with viewing ratings falling each week, the acts struggling to connect with the viewers and now the judges failing to connect with each other. Some say the tension between the judges and tension between the contestants is all an act, put on for the cameras to entice more viewers and get the show ratings back up. It’s usually pretty easy to tell what’s fake and what’s real but this time it’s not so certain.

After last weeks reports of trouble over the bullying incident, Tulisa & Kelly had a fall out during the live shows and since then they have apparently not spoken to each other.

The Destiny’s Child singer left the X Factor in crisis and flew back home to Los Angeles earlier in the week, leaving her three acts, Janet Devlin, Misha Bryan & Sophie Habibis to fend for themselves. She now refuses to return to the show claiming she is too ill to fly.

Kelly is said to have a very rare illness or viral infection which is preventing her from flying back to the UK, a statement read:

“Kelly is devastated she won’t be here for this weekend’s show. She is extremely ill with a viral throat infection and her doctors aren’t permitting her to fly.”

“Kelly will be returning to the show as soon as she has recovered. The girls have been in tocuh to wish her a speedy recovery and they can’t wait for her to get back. More news as we have it.”

Kelly also spoke to The Sun, telling them she is suffering from an ‘extremely rare’ illness, and has been in tears about the whole situation all week.

She said: “I’m so sick – I have no idea what is wrong with me, but I have the worst sore throat.”

“I’ve been in tears all week. It got so bad that I stopped eating and drinking and got so dehydrated the doctor put me on a drip.”

“Even now I can’t swallow anything – not even my own saliva. The doctors don’t even really know what’s wrong, either. They say whatever I have is extremely rare.”

Not everyone is buying the whole ‘too ill to fly or work’ thing as a show source told the Daily Mail:

‘Quite honestly, it’s expected that the judges would have to be on their death bed to miss a show.  The fact that Kelly has a throat infection hardly seems that desperate.  The producers are less than impressed and we’ve had less than 24 hours to pick someone to stand in for her.’

X Factor bosses were left in a panic trying to find her a replacement for this weekends shows, lots of rumours circulated around either Simon Cowell or Nicole Scherzinger returning to the show, but this afternoon it has been confirmed that Alexandra Burke will be filling Kelly’s shoes on the judging panel this week instead.

It does seem quite a coincidence the weekend that the two judges have a fall out, is the same weekend Kelly flees to L.A. and then supposedly falls ill with an extremely rare illness don’t you think?

On the other hand, it could all be the truth and she really is that sick.

Whatever the case may be, we wish Alexandra good luck for tonights show & Kelly a speedy recovery, after all, she is shaping up to be a rather good judge.
