I was going to give up on the X Factor some weeks ago. Apart from the delightful Gary Barlow whose comments are always constructive and not to put the other judges down – I had just felt like the show was the same as it has been for the past few years.
There is usually the act who is the entertainer, the voice, the diva and so on. It became predictable and this year I didn’t really connect with any of the acts.
Until Little Mix got really good!
Having never voted in any of these talent competitions since I voted for Will Young in Pop Idol, I have found myself voting for the girl-group which have been manufactured by N Dubz judge Tulisa.
What a breath of fresh air they are to the competition. They are young, unique individuals and have an amazing range of vocals between them.
And, it seems I am not the only one who thinks that they may just go all the way and become the first girl group to win the X Factor. Sporty Spice Mel C has also compared them to the Spice Girls when they were first starting out in the music industry.
The girls all appear to be friends as well as band-mates.
No matter how much criticism Tulisa gets for her job as X Factor judge – she definitely spotted something unique in each of these young ladies.
Even if these girls don’t win the title, I think they have carved a career out for themselves in the music industry.
