Mariah Not Phased By Britney’s X Factor Gig
She’s known for being a diva, and Mariah Carey’s latest outburst does nothing to change this perception. After hearing that Britney Spears is the latest appointed judge on X Factor USA after Mariah was in talks to take on the role she has insisted that she, in fact, couldn’t care less.
“You think I focus on that stuff?” she said when she was quizzed on the subject. “Have we met?” She also said of Britney, She said: ‘I love her, honestly, I think she’s a very nice person, but I don’t care who’s going on that show – as long as it’s not me.’
The new look X Factor USA judging panel consists of Simon Cowell, Britney (who reportedly secured a $15 million paypacket for the role!), LA Reid and Demi Levato. Mariah did some limitation on Twitter yesterday, saying “@Britney Spears & @Simon Cowell of course I love & care about you dahhlings, congrats! U never know what’s true or gossip, I was joking around!xo”.
Meanwhile, Simon has also been making his feelings about BBC 1 show The Voice known, saying he is puzzled as to why it is not on the radio. He told Radio 4 that if the BBC’s show was “all about the voice” then “what’s the point in looking at them?”
