Rihanna has been signed by Sky Living to produce her own TV fashion talent show in the UK.
The umbrella hit maker handpicked fellow singer and fashionista Nicola Roberts to help front the new show.
The pair will search the country in a bid to find the next generation of undiscovered design talent. The contestants will then be tasked with creating outfits for a number of different celebrities and musicians, before the ultimate challenge: dressing Rihanna for her Wireless Festival performance in London in July.
Sky Living said: “With her world-class reputation and passion for style, Rihanna is perfectly placed to find an aspiring designer worthy of the chance to break into the hugely competitive world of fashion.
Tasking Nicola with fronting the search, Rihanna will be heavily responsible for casting and will be involved in editing post-production.”
Rihanna and Nicola have both described the new show – which will air this summer – as “exciting”.
Former band mate Cheryl Cole is also said to be recording a duet with Rihanna this week, after much speculation and hype over the collaboration.
“Cheryl’s flown to LA to put the finishing touches to her album and is due to meet Rihanna to record their duet,” an insider told the Daily Star. It’s been a long time coming and something both their management teams have been trying to arrange. But with their busy schedules and Rihanna’s tour dates, they haven’t been able to until now.”
