It looks like it’s time for happy families in 2012, at least if you’re artist Sam Taylor-Wood who has just given birth to her new daughter with partner Aaron Johnson. The couple met on the set of 2009 film Nowhere Boy, the story of the early life of Beatles star John Lennon which was directed by Sam, and they already have a young daughter together.
Sam and Aaron have yet to announce the name of their new baby, a sibling to 18 month old Wylda Rae Johnson as well as Taylor-Wood’s older daughters. Previously married to art dealer Jay Jopling, the father of 14 year old Anjelica and five year old Jessie, the couple appear to be proving wrong any doubters who hinted that an age gap relationship such as theirs wouldn’t last.
Following on from a great end to 2011, which saw the artist awarded the OBE in recognition for her work in the fields of art and photography, and which was presented to her by the Prince of Wales, it looks like this year can only get better for Taylor-Wood.
Congratulations to Sam and Aaron, who will hopefully be taking his share of nappy changing duties and night time feeds.
