Rumour has it that pop princesses The Saturdays are in negotiations to be given their own reality TV show in America. This new series would follow the girls as they attempt to break one of the biggest music scenes in the world.
Frankie, Mollie, Rochelle, Una and Vanessa have barely been out of the spotlight since they burst onto the music scene three years ago. With a string of top 10 hits, four albums and three headlining tours, its no wonder the girls are ready to crack America.
It’s not just their music that has kept these ladies in the headlines. What with Mollie bagging possibly the hottest man in the world (if you’ve been living under a rock for the past six months, its David Gandy), Frankie becoming a WAG, Rochelle splitting up with and then getting back together with JLS’ Marvin and of course Una announcing she was pregnant, 2011 is shaping up to be a jam packed year for The Saturdays.
Although the timing may seem strange for this girl group to make the move to the States, it has been reported that Una would not join the other girls in the first series of their reality show. The five-some have shown they can handle cameras following their every move after the success of last years ITV2 series The Saturdays: 24/7. According to US blogger Perez Hilton the girls are close to signing a massive five-season contract, meaning they could be spending a lot of time across the pond.
Obviously they deserve all the success they get, but fingers crossed they wont forget all their loyal fans in the UK, the ones that were there when it all began.
