Pasts; we all have them. Some are more colourful than Nicki Minaj’s wardrobe, where as others are less eventful, but when it comes to relationships even the smallest of skeletons can come bursting out of the closest. But does love really conquer all? and can any previous convictions be forgiven with flowers or brushed off by being treated like a Princess?
One relationship which has caught my eye recently is that of Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. Now we all know that the floppy haired funny man was caught in a less than amusing situation with someone who wasn’t Demi Moore, which then resulted in the gorgeous Ghost actress divorcing him. Kutcher and Kunis haven’t just met; they worked together for years as youngsters on the sitcom ‘That 70′s Show’, so perhaps this bond has helped her to see past his previous cheating ways.
But after seeing pictures of Mila lovingly leaning on Ashton’s shoulder, I am left wondering how she really feels about his philandering ways. Being a media savvy woman, I know how the papers portray a love rat, but Ashton clearly messed up in a massive way and shattered a seemingly happy marriage in the process. So what’s different this time round? and does Mila have a beautiful forgiving heart to match her stunning looks?
If I met a man now who I liked, but who I knew had done the dirty on his ex girlfriend I wouldn’t run a mile, but it would put serious doubts in my mind before we had even gotten to know each other; my guard would go ten feet higher with an electric fence and security patrol. But nothing in this life is guaranteed, especially when it comes to affairs of the heart, and trust issues can crop up whether someone is guilty of past cheating crimes or purely innocent.
Getting involved with someone who has admitted to treating someone terribly in the past is a gamble, but isn’t that one of the most exciting parts of being in a relationship? I just hope Ashton treats Mila with more respect, and less like a friend with benefits…
