A Girls Favourite Friend – The Little Black Dress

Breakfast at Tiffany’s, a movie every girl immediately recognizes. It’s a classic, an all-time favourite in culture and in fashion as it gave all of us one of the greatest things to ever grace the fashion world, the little black dress. Immortalised forever by icon Audrey Hepburn, the LBD has been used and recreated by an endless list of designers, fashion icons, high street shops and even just your everyday working lady. Sold everywhere and anywhere from Topshop and River Island to New Look and Next, a little black dress can be throughout any season.

You can never have too many LBD, I am strongly believed that in the highest sense as every girl should have one. A classic fashion statement, LBDs come in different styles and can be worn on any occasion.  The LBD has a long credible history within fashion and can always be seen in fashion weeks, magazines, photo shoots and catwalks.

In long, in short, with patterns, with cuts or just the simple lain black style, this dress is a timeless classic that can be worn by anyone. These little beauties can be worn in so many different ways by different people in an occasion. Where ever you go, the little black dress will never let you down. An Interview, party (Christmas party), date, wedding, a funeral or just to work on a Monday morning, you can look stylish at any event without even having to try hard. However once you’ve decided which type of LBD to wear what do you wear with it, here begins the time where you can play with accessories and the enlist it falls within.

The beauty of the little black dress is that you can’t really go wrong. Depending on what you feel like and where you are going, you can wear any type of jewellery but many like pearls and diamonds as their favourite. Shoes and bags can be worn in any colour just as long as they match each other. With that sorted, we have got to fix the make-up right, here there’s many ways you can go with Smoky and Sultry or Brights but any of them

Now for the last and finishing piece to the fashionable; the hair. Messy up do, glamour’scurls, cool and straight or a classic simple and tight up do. Any of these can be worn with LBD but messy up do is my favourite, but the end of the day it’s up to you as the little black dress is a timeless and classic piece that can never go wrong.
