Fashion vs Feeling good

If you feel body confident everyday I salute you! Like all of us there are parts of ourselves we dislike and want to change or improve, it’s only natural. I am a huge self critic like many people out there and spending money on fashion and beauty items makes me feel better about myself. I know that the dress I have that makes me feel good will make me feel more confident going out but why can’t every outfit make me feel the same? I’ve found trends don’t always suit everyone so if your super fashion conscious you should adapt the trends to what suits your figure and create your own individual style.

Most days I see examples of ‘the perfect image’ and its hard not to wish you looked like that. We need to learn to accept we don’t look like the models and it is more than ok not too! Photoshop is a wonderful thing for getting rid of spots or wrinkles and almost changing the size of bodies. Most of us can’t afford to go to the salon every week for various beauty treatments to make us look and feel better but the truth is buying lots of clothes and having various beauty treatments are just temporary solutions to feeling confident. When you recive a compliment, accept and remember it because remembering those compliments is going to make you feel much better than dwelling on parts you dislike. We all have flaws but focusing on the good parts of our bodies will improve confidence.

You are beautiful no matter what they say, words can’t bring you down! Christina’s right, we are all beautiful in our own way. We need to celebrate ourselves, appreciate and care for our bodies regardless of our ‘flaws’! We only have one body for the rest of our lives so why not try to like it instead of insulting ourselves. Guaranteed your the only one that thinks (whatever you may dislike about yourself) is worse than it is. Being confident in our bodies is so important for us all.

You don’t need to be worried if you don’t have the latest item of clothing or if your hair isn’t perfect. I’m not saying be big headed and love everything about you but flaunt what you have. Enjoy being you, it’s not a crime! You are unique and wonderful and don’t let anyone make you think differently. Try giving compliments to others too and chances are you’ll give them more confidence too!
