London Fashion Week 2012 has kicked off today at London’s Somerset House and with a bang. The finest Spring/Summer 2013 collections are scheduled to be showcased by designers such as Sass & Bide, PPQ, Dominic Jones and many more as the weekend ensues.
The exhibition itself is presented over two floors, revealing some of London’s best ready-to-wear and accessories designs. The exhibition is home to 110 designers, 30 of which are new and ready to present the best of SS13. As usual there will be an abundance of celebrities adorning the front rows, all of whom I’m sure will be decked out in finery from the new collections. I look forward to seeing what everyone will be wearing over the next few days.
The turnover for fashion collections seems to be so high that just as we’ve finished preparing our autumn/winter wardrobes, we are bombarded with images of next year’s spring/summer garments. It’s wonderful to be able to get ahead of what trends we will be presented within the upcoming months, but I have to say I have only just got my head around not being able to wear summer clothes anymore as the weather gets milder. However, I’m definitely not complaining as there’s nothing I enjoy more than watching the best of high fashion being paraded up and down the catwalk!
Unfortunately I won’t be in attendance to LFW this year but I will be keeping up to date with the shows online via live stream. If like me you are unable to see fashion’s finest up close and personal, keep up to date with the official website for the event: http://www.londonfashionweek.co.uk/
