Make Your Mind Up Fashion Faux Pas Critics!

Derek Lam - flatformsNow, do correct me if I am wrong, but this year fashion has taken a very gigantic leap back around, and around again, straight into the direction of the 90s era! I am a 90s girl at heart, in body, and soul, but I definitely do not remember it being the decade of incredible style – until this year that is.

In every magazine, in every high-street, on every catwalk, the 90s era has made a comeback with a punch. From neons and mismatched prints to platforms (sorry the new ‘in-trend’ name is flatforms) we just CANNOT get ENOUGH of the 90s! But are we forgetting something here? Forgive me if I am wrong, but in the past has the 90s period not been something of ridicule by fashionistas across the land? Any celeb flaunting the naughty nineties look has (in the previous) been put in the spotlight by fashion critics, but for all the wrong reasons. Nineties fashion sense was undoubtedly once seen as a fashion faux pas, but alas! It is now a new dawn!

Like I said earlier, I am a 90s girl through and through, and I hold my hand up when I say I love all in the name of fashion, but this latest trend, the one and only flatform, just does not make sense to me. Now, I am sure there are many of you girls out there who will disagree with me, and I am also sure many of you look splendid in your totally bang on trend fabulous flatforms-but it just isn’t working for me. Call the fashion police you may say, but I think I may go against fashion this one summer and stick to my wedges…
