Our favourite set of identical twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, are back! The stylish duo have teamed up with social commerce company BeachMint and are set to launch their very own shopping website. The site is due to launch this summer. (Just in time to pack a few new items into our holiday suitcases!)
StyleMint.com, pairs “an exclusive apparel collection with customized shopping technology to give members the experience of a personal stylist” according to the twin’s company, Dualstar Entertainment group.
The child stars, now 24, rose to fame in the early 1990′s appearing together in American sitcoms and quickly hit the big time with films such as Passport to Paris and The Challenge. Since then, the Mary-Kate and Ashley brand has put its name to perfumes, books, clothing and makeup.
The pair have already made an impact in the fashion world with their affordable Wallmart range and Since 2007 their line, Elizabeth and James, has been available in Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman-Marcus.
StyleMint.com will introduce the girls’ new t-shirt line, which will retail at $29.99. The pair are also said to have major impact into the design aspects of the new clothing range.
The new website is promising to combine interactivity and fashion to create a unique shopping experience. It will allow users to create their very own “fashion profile” and feature videos and trend guides.
“With StyleMint.com, Ashley and I have created an online experience reflecting our love of style and allowing us to engage with our customers directly, which is an inspiring new way for us to think and create as designers,” Mary-Kate Olsen said in a statement.
SyleMint is not the first venture of this sort for BeachMint, which teamed up with actress Kate Bosworth to create ewelmint.com last October.
StyleMint.com is currently planned for launch in July.
