There was a time when all children dressed like children and all adults looked like, well, normal human beings. That was of course before attractive adults took to cosmetic surgery in a bid to keep their youthful looks.
The last time Sharon Osbourne graced British television she looked fabulous for her age, albeit with the help of a plastic surgeon. As fans of Mrs Osborne it was much to our dismay to notice she is starting to look like Joan Rivers. That puppet look, stretched too much resulting in round cheeks and that upwardly pointing nose.
Recently, Madonna was photographed just days apart. In one picture she looked pretty weathered in the latter photo she looked so fresh faced she could have easily have been 20 years younger.
Simon Cowell looks as though he’ll imminently become a fellow member of freak-shows-are-us if he doesn’t stop soon and fellow X Factor judge Louis Walsh already looks so strange with those wide open eyes surrounded by taut skin.
Just because other people do it doesn’t make it safe. Just because others do it doesn’t make it attractive, nor does it mean it’s fashionable. Fashion is all about you expressing yourself in your own unique way. What’s unique about looking deformed in puppet face way when about a tenth of Hollywood looks this way? Would you run through the muddiest, slushiest field in your absolute favourite shoes, that cost you a fair bit of money and can never be replaced? Highly unlikely! Yet men and women all over the western world are willing to gamble with their priceless body! If you ended up looking like a mess would you not hate yourself forever thinking, “I actually looked better before. Why did I do this to myself!?!”
