The very first UK Vogue Festival kicked off yesterday and is set to be the world’s most stylish festival. The fabulous event is being held at The Royal Geographical Society in Kensington and will be host to some very prestigious names in the industry. Fashion royalty such as the editor in chief of British Vogue Alexandra Shulman, Matthew Williamson, Dolce & Gabbana, Stella McCartney, Diane Von Furstenberg and Rachel Zoe are amongst those in attendance. The festival spans over two days and includes morning and afternoon sessions depending on when you choose to attend. As well as being able to see exclusive discussions with whomever is speaking in your chosen session, the event includes additional activities such a makeovers, fashion shoots and fashion films.
As far as I’m aware this is one of the world’s first fashion festivals, so it seems highly appropriate that Vogue organised it. Alexandra Shulman stated: ”I am tremendously excited about putting together this Vogue Festival which will be the first of its kind to allow the general public to see and hear some of the world’s greatest fashion talent speaking, as well as to engage in many interesting issues that fashion and style raises.”
I will be attending the event today and cannot wait to be amongst the likes of Tom Ford and Jourdan Dunn. Make sure to check my blog over the next few days for photos!
