Seasonal Printings

Green Animal Print Playsuit - £50.00, TopshopIt seems as though summer is officially over, even leaves have begun to fall from their trees. However, I am still optimistic that Autumn/Winter will be bright and bolder than ever before!

Block colours are still going strong for the season, which means your royal purples, orange reds, emerald greens and citrus yellows will still be making a public appearance. With a winter jumper and tights, a bold bag or pair of shoes is all that is needed to make an appearance. Boohoo.com features a patent pink bag for £25, whilst New Look is stocking shoes that range in many colours from as little as £20! Animal prints are back with a vengeance and are going to be stronger than ever before! They will adorn bags, shoes, belts, cardigans, dresses and coats. Karen Millen’s Tough Safari Collection features leopard print bags mixed with hard metal studs and zebra clutches that would look good for both day and night use. Primark features a leopard print scarf that ranges from multicolour to green and brown, at the simple price of £4! There is also a zebra inspired scarf that would add a tribal theme to any winter outfit.

Tartan is another print that will be identified, no longer only famed for men’s kilts! Coats look comfy dressed in tartan, as well as oversized bags. They add the ultimate Christmas look and range in blue, green and red. Marks and Spencer’s, Debenham’s and Karen Millen have featured many items in the popular design.

Finally and most exciting of all, polka dots! Dots are going crazy and have already been seen on shoes at New Look and on bags from ASOS. Do not only think black and white, they can range from red and white, pink and grey and beige and black. Remember that a little goes a long way, so a simple polka dot scarf, a statement bag or pair of shoes will still get that impact you want. You do not have to resemble Mr. Blobby to get a reaction from people!

Winter is not all about dark colours, be brave and add some print to your wardrobe to get that bit of sunshine back!
